Where is Funk City? Right now it is Salisbury, NC, but Funk City is a state of mind. It can be everywhere we play. Their core sound is an aggressive blues-rock, but they take that sound and put their own spin on it. You've never heard blues-rock like this. With their signature sound, they have reinvented the way that people listen to blues. This isn't Chicago or Mississippi Delta blues - this is FUNK CITY Blues. Funk City Blues features two sets of brothers, and they have an unparralleled band chemistry. The second they hit their first notes together as a band, they knew that they had something special; that one and only "it" factor that only few people on this earth have. Chobey Badgio's mean blues riffs and raspy voice fit right in with the sound of the band. Darrel Howard's guitar solos are smooth yet full of power. Don't be fooled by this man's laid back attitude; his playing will leave you speechless. Bassist Nick Badgio lays down the low end. His bass playing puts the "funk" in Funk City Blues.
